Adjust the push rod to obtain
a smooth pull on the feeler
gage.
d. Remove the feeler gage. Hold
the push rod with a 5/16 inch
wrench and tighten locknut
with 1/2 inch wrench. If
adjustment is correct, the
0.011 inch feeler gage will
pass freely between valve stem
and rocker arm, but 0.013 inch
feeler gage will not pass
through.
