PRE-OPERATING PROCEDURES.

2-3.1 Initial Engine Start. The precharge pressure of the accumulators is the pressure of the nitrogen gas with which

the accumulators are initially charged. This pressure must be checked before the system pressure is raised for the initial

engine start. To check the precharge pressure, proceed as follows:

Open the accumulator blowdown valve (1) on the ramp/starting system hydraulic tank.

Open accumulator shut-off valve (2) and allow pressure gauge (3) to return to zero.
