REPLACE CANOPY.

This task covers:

a. Removal

b. Installation

INITIAL SETUP

Tools:

General Safety Instructions:

Tool Kit, Mechanic's, Rail

Inspect lifting eyes before removal

and Marine

Do not attempt to remove canopy

manually. Ensure lifting device

is of sufficient capacity.

Materials/Parts:

Gasket

P/N 2230 Gray

Equipment Conditions:

All power off. All accessories

connected to canopy are disconnected

(ladder, searchlight, wiper assembly).

REMOVAL

WARNING

Ensure all accessories mounted on canopy are removed prior to

canopy removal. Use an appropriate lifting device when removing

canopy. Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury to

personnel.

REMOVE CANOPY

Remove all accessories connected to canopy.

Attach lifting device to lifting bracket (1) on

pilothouse canopy (2).

Loosen seven nuts (3) and

washers (4) to

release eye bolts (5).

Lift canopy and lower it to the deck. Remove

gasket (6).
