Moving switch to PAY OUT, pays out anchor

chain, lowering anchor. Moving switch to

HAUL BACK hauls in anchor chain, raising

anchor.

STOP

Pushbutton stops bow anchor windlass hydraulic

pump motor (red).

Hydraulic Pressure

Indicates hydraulic pressure in bow anchor

Gauge

windlass system.

Fluid Level

Indicates fluid level and' temperature of bow

Sight Glass

anchor windlass hydraulic fluid.

Filter Condition

Indicates when bow anchor windlass-

Indicator

hydraulic filter needs to be changed.

Clutch Lever

Engages/disengages clutch for operation.

Winch Brake

Controlled by hand brake wheel to secure

bow winch drum.

Hand Brake Wheel

Applies manual brake to bow winch drum.

Wildcat

Hauls in and pays out anchor chain.

Cat Head

Auxiliary line handling drum used for warping

vessel during mooring.

Fail Safe Brake

Locks brakes stopping main spool rotation

when hydraulic pressure is lost.

Chain Stopper

When engaged, prevents anchor chain from

moving down hawse pipe. When disengaged,

permits anchor chain movement downward.
