Damage Control Gear:

Condition: Verify that Fireman's ensembles are present and complete, oxygen breathing apparatus (OBA) and

canisters are present and in good Condition: NOTE: A total of six fireman ensembles and 6 OBAs and 54 OBA

canister should be on the vessel stowed between this and the other damage control locker.

Standard: Fireman's ensembles are complete and contents serviceable, each ensemble includes:

1 each Gear Bag

1 each Fireman's Coveralls or Bunker Coat

1 pair Fireman's Gloves

and Pants

1 pair Fireman's Boots

1 each 2 Cell Explosion Proof Flashlight

1 each Fireman's Helmet

1 each 1/8" x 50 ft Galvanized Lanyard

1 pair Anti Flash Gloves

1 each Anti Flash Hood

In addition, OBAs shall be available each with 9 canisters in serviceable condition.

Watertight Door:

Condition: Inspect gaskets, operation, hinges dogs and hold back hooks.

Standard: Gasket in good condition undamaged, flexible, fills channel, dogs all operational, hinges undamaged

and permit free movement. Hold back hook and eye present and serviceable. ________________________

10.3 Port Side (Paint Locker).

Fixed Fire Fighting System.

Condition: Inspect and observe pressure in tanks, securements, and releases.

Check vessel records for

accomplishment of annual servicing and 5 year inspection.
