REPLACEMENT
WARNING
Failure to properly install the starter or operate it according to
TM 55-1905-223-10, could result in damage to the starter,
engine or personal injury.
a.
Attach lifting sling to the starter (3) and position it to the flywheel cover (1) opening.
b.
Secure with three capscrews and washers (2) and torque to 180 - 200 ft-lb244 to 271 N-m).

c.
Position solenoid (5) to starter motor (3). Secure with two bolts (4). Hand tighten bolts (4).
d.
Connect the air supply line (7) and air lines (6) from starter to solenoid (5).
e.
Turn on air supply to starter. Check for leaks.
