REPAIR
Repair of rotary pump consists of replacing rotary pump (26).
Install pipe nipples (18) and (22) on pump (21).
a.
Position pump assembly (21) on baseplate (12).
b.
Connect pump assembly with motor (11) at coupling (10).
c.
Secure shaft bracket (13) to baseplate with four hexhead capscrews (5),
d.
lockwashers (4) and plain hex nuts (3).
Position coupling guard (9) over mounting screw holes on baseplate.
e.
Secure coupling guard with two hexhead capscrews (8), lockwashers (7) and
f.
plain hex nuts (6).
Install pump relief piping elbow (20) with nipple (19) and valve (14) on
g.
pump.
Connect pump relief piping at union (15).
h.
Connect suction piping at union (2) on inlet side of pump.
i.
Connect discharge piping at union (17) on outlet side of pump.
j.
Open pump relief valve (14).
k.
Open suction (1) and discharge (16) valves.
l.
Remove tag and restore power to pump unit.
m.
Run to test.
