b. Remove Four-Way Directional Valve
Engine room control console access panel removed in step a.(1) and (2).

Remove four machine bolts (2, FIGURE 2-100).
(2)
Inside console remove lockwashers (3) and nuts (4).
(3)
Lift valve (1) up and out of console until flexible hoses are accessible.
(4)
Tag and disconnect flexible hoses at ports (5, 6, and 7).
(5)
Cap or plug connections.
(6)
Remove four-way directional valve (1) from console (8).

DISASSEMBLY
Remove hex head screws and lockwashers (15, 16, FIGURE 2-101).

Remove valve regulator (14).

Remove spring pins (18) from camshaft.

Remove handle (19) and camshaft (10).
e. Remove sleeve bearing (23).
f.
Remove flat washer (9) and spring tension washer (17).
Remove spacer (6), thrust washer bearing (7), and roller needle bearing (8).
g.
Remove cap (20), preformed packing (21), and poppet valve (22).
h.
REPAIR
Repair at this level of maintenance is by replacement of venturi meter, four-way
directional valve (1), thrust washer bearing (7), roller needle bearing (8),
spring tension washers (17), preformed packing (21), poppet valve (22), and
sleeve bearing (23).
ASSEMBLY
NOTE
As component reassembly proceeds, lubricate
each part using lubriplate no. 107 on metal
to metal moving surfaces and pneumatic
grease on all rubber parts.

Install poppet valve (22), preformed packing (21) and cap (20).
Install roller needle bearing (8), thrust washer bearing (7), and spacer (6).
