REPAIR
NOTE
Repair kit is provided for complete repair
of the air preparation system.
Clean rubber parts with soap and water, all other parts with petroleum base
a.
solvent, mineral spirits or kerosene. Rinse thoroughly and blow dry with low
pressure air.
Check all parts for wear, corrosion or damage.
b.
Repair at this level of maintenance is by replacement of Venturi meter (9),
c.
safety relief valve (10), and ball valves (4) and (13).
ASSEMBLY
Apply teflon tape to threads of nipple (11) and install safety relief valve
a.
(10).
Apply teflon tape to threads on back of Venturi meter (9).
b.
Secure meter to safety relief valve with jam nut (8).
c.
Apply teflon tape to nipple (14) and install intake ball valve (13).
d.
Apply teflon tape to tubing (10) and connect to ball valve (13).
e.
Apply teflon tape to nipple (3) and install exhaust ball valve (4).
f.
Remove caps or plugs from tubing.
g.
Apply teflon tape to tubing (5) and connect to ball valve (4).
h.
Replace shutoff handles (7) and secure with nuts (6).
i.
REPLACEMENT
Install air preparation system (1) on bulkhead.
a.
Secure with four machine screws (2).
b.
Connect tubing (12) to intake valve (13).
c.
Connect tubing to exhaust valve (4).
d.
Turn ON air at CA-1 control air cut-out and remove tag.
