REPAIR
Repair at this level of maintenance is by replacement of basket sediment strainer
element (3), gasket (4) or entire assembly.
ASSEMBLY
Install basket sediment strainer (3, FIGURE 2-241).
a.
Install gasket (4) and cover (2).
b.
Install hexagon nuts (1) and torque to 75 ft-lb (102 Nm).
c.
REPLACEMENT
NOTE
A chain hoist will be required to replace
simplex sediment strainer.
Install simplex sediment strainer (3, FIGURE 2-240).
a.
Install bolts (1), nuts (2) and torque to 75 ft-lb (102 Nm).
b.
Charge piping and check for leaks.
c.
Remove drip pan.
