Repair Laundry Tub Faucet.
This task covers:
a. Removal, b. Repair, c. Replacement.
At Auxiliary Machinery Motor Control
Tool kit, general mechanic's,
Center press No. 1 fresh water maker
pump STOP pushbutton and set P205-4
circuit breaker to the OFF position.
Materials/Parts
Press No. 2 fresh water maker pump
STOP pushbutton and set P205-5
Piping system, potable water
circuit breaker to the OFF position.
P/N 8532028, refer to
Tag switches "Out of Service - Do Not
TM 55-1905-223-24P
Operate."
Teflon tape, Item 5, Appendix C
a. Close hot water supply valve (1).
Close cold water supply valve (2).
b.
NOTE
Open faucets to relieve water pressure before removing
faucet.
Disconnect flared coupling (4) from hot water connection on back of faucet
c.
(3).
d.
Disconnect flared coupling (5) from cold water connection on back of faucet
(3).
e.
Remove jam nuts (6) and washers (7) from back of faucet (3).
Remove faucet (3) from laundry sink.
f.
Repair at this level of maintenance is by replacement of laundry tub faucet (3).
