Install helical compression springs, (15) and replace access cover (17).

Replace hexagonal head capscrews ( 6) to access cover.

Replace coupling (26) to the shaft (1) and secure with machine bolts (25), washers and plain cap nuts (24).
(10) Replace cotter pin (23).
e. Install middle casing and output shaft, paragraph 4-12.

Install intermediate shaft, paragraph 4-10.
g. Install input shaft, paragraph 4-8.
h. Install upper casing, paragraph 4-8.

Install external input/intermediate shafts, paragraph 3-11.

Install torsional coupling, paragraph 2-21.

Install control valve, paragraph 2-20.

Install double changeover filter, paragraph 2-18.
m. Install fluid transmission cooler, paragraph 2-17.
n. Install external hardware, paragraph 2-14.
o. Fill with oil, paragraph 2-5.
p. Start engine, referring to TM 55-1905-223-10. Engage gearbox, and check for leaks and proper operation.
