c. Install the capscrews (19, 20) and lockwashers (18) to fasten the pump to the cylinder block. Tighten
the capscrews to 35 to 45 ft-lb (47 to 61 N ) torque.

Connect the oil inlet and outlet lines to the pump.

Connect battery banks (starboard), operate air system (port), refer to TM 55-1905-223-10.
f. Operate the engine until it reaches a temperature of 180 (80 ) and check for leaks and for proper
