Fuel Filters - continued
Install the new filters on the filter head.
a. Tighten the fitter untiI it contacts the filter head surface.
b. Tighten an additional one-half to three quarter turn.

Engine Oil
Remove the engine oil after 250 hours operation. Sample engine oil
and send to the Army Oil Analysis Program.
a. Run the engine until it reaches operating temperature and
then shut it off.
b. Allow time for the oil to settle in the pan.
c. Drain the oil.
(1) Open the suction valve in the sump pump line into the oil pan.
(2) Manually pump the old oil into the waste oil tank.
(3) Close the sump pump valve.
NOTE
Replace the full-flow and bypass oil filters
before adding clean oil. Refer to Item
No. 13 of this table.
