500 GPM with a discharge head of 125 psi. Local start/stop control for all pumps is provided. Additionally,
each pump can be controlled from the pilothouse.
b. Fire monitors. Two fire monitor stations are provided and located on the top of the pilothouse to
provide 360coverage of the ship. Each monitor is rated at 500 GPM with a 100 psi discharge. The monitors
are. capable of directional and elevation control and can dispense both water and foam.
c. Fire stations. Fire stations, located throughout the vessel, provide 50 feet of 1 1/2 inch hose, a
spanner wrench, and nozzle. Stations are located as follows:

d. Sprinkler system. The Arms Control Room is fitted with sprinkler and alarm systems. The alarm
signals when water is present in the dry side of the sprinkling system. A water switch is installed in the piping
on the downstream side of the sprinkler control valve. The switch is connected to activate audible and visual
alarms in the Pilothouse if water is present in the sprinkler line due to opening of the sprinkler valve or
leakage past the valve. There are 2 sprinkler heads installed in the Arms Control Room. Activation of the
sprinkler system can be made from the sprinkler control valve just outside the Arms Control Room or on the
bridge.
