Service of hull, bitts, chocks, tiedowns, stanchions, lifelines, hatches and void covers includes remov-
ing paint and rust, cleaning gaskets (on hatches) and painting. Dogs and hinges on hatches are to be
freed, and cleaned of paint.

Tank/compartment is to be free of explosive/combustible fumes/liquids prior to any spark causing or
hot work.
