DISASSEMBLY (FIGURE 4-28)
NOTE
Prepare a clean flat surface for disassembly and repair of failsafe brake.
a. Remove preformed packing (3) and retaining ring (4) from shaft (11). Scribe brake housing with orientation
markings to be used during assembly.
b. Remove retaining ring (21) from power plate (24).
NOTE
Identify and record removal sequences of parts to be used during assembly. Observe identifying marks or
features on brake housing to be used during assembly.
