PORT - suction (FWC-20)
Return to keel cooler (FWC-18)
Centrifugal pump unit
STBD - Suction (FWC-21)
P/N SMP 2000
Return to keel cooler (FWC-19)
Alternating current motor
Closed valves tagged "Out of Service -
P/N 0743
Do Not Operate."
Warning tags, Item 1, Appendix C
a. Tag and disconnect electrical leads at junction box (1) on motor (2).
b.
Close pump suction and discharge valves.
Disconnect discharge piping at union located on top of pump (3).
C.
Disconnect suction piping at union on front end of pump.
d.
Remove four hex plain nuts (7), lockwashers (6), washers (5) and hexhead
e.
capscrews (4) securing motor baseplate (8) to foundation.
Remove pump and motor.
f.
Remove adapter and attached fittings from pump casing.
g.
Remove nipple and attached fittings from top of pump.'
h.
Repair of centrifugal pump unit consists of replacing motor (2) and pump (3).
