SECTION III. Preparation Guidance
F-9.
General.
a. LCM-8 and LCU vessel specifications contain many complete, thorough and well-proven testing items. There-
fore, these specifications will be used as examples.
b. In preparing testing paragraphs per final Trials and Testing requirements, the following entries must be made:
(1) Date and time of test and the length of time test
is to be performed.
(2) Who will furnish fuels, lubricants, etc.
(3) Who will furnish personnel for tests.
(4) Test reading and remarks report forms available
(5) Other details for properly recording tests and results.
NOTE
Surveyor and Contractor's inspection system personnel must witness all Trials
and Tests.
F-10. Certificates and Reports. (See F.O. F-9, Para H). Enter the requirements for the type and number of copies of
all documents and letter/report forms the Contractor is to submit to the Surveyor, including, but not limited to, the follow-
ing:
a. Arrival Inspection and Fuel Inventory Report.
b. Fresh Water Tanks Certificates.
c.
Compass Deviation/Correction Cards.
d. Cable, Chain and Propeller Certificates.
e. American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Certificates.

CO Fire Extinguishers/Systems Certificates.
g. Lifeboat/Raft Servicing Certificates.
h. Individual Item/System Test Reports.
i.
Repair/Replacement, Material/Parts Lists.
j.
Engine Compression Tests.
k.
Bottom Drydocking Reports.

Trials and Tests Reports.
