F-11. Sample specifications (Definite and Indefinite) follow which offer specific guidance to assist in the preparation of
special and/ or unusual items. Your supervisor surveyor should be available to give guidance and assistance whenever
necessary.
F-12. Specification Preparation Breakdown. The fold-outs which appear in the back of this TB furnish diagramatic,
detailed explanations of what is required when writing specifications. A careful study of these fold-outs will enable the
writer to provide the necessary information and to prepare easily understood specifications as to the work to be done
which will reduce cost and time by avoiding improper and unnecessary work.
