MISCELLANEOUS MINOR HULL REPAIRS (DEFINITE)
The Contractor shall make the necessary removals, furnish and install all required materials and perform
repairs as outlined below, lifting all detailed sizes, dimensions, types and quantities from the vessel:
1. Stern Muffler Repairs:
Location:
Vessel's Transom.
a. Fabricate and install one (1) new transom exhaust muffler assembly for vessel's port main engine.
Subject muffler shall be, same in all details, as the presently installed muffler for vessel's starboard main engine.
b. Furnish and install one (1) new 45four (4) inch elbow for the vessel's center main engine transom
Subject elbow shall be new, like-in kind when original. Replace any missing and/or defective fasteners.
c.
Replace the existing, damaged, stand-off braces for each of the five (5) transom mufflers.
New stand-off braces shall be 1/4 inch x 3 inches x length to suit steel flat bar, each to be welded between
muffler and transom hull plating.
2. Stud Removal:

Location:
Vessel Bottom Hull Plating, Four (4)
Each Adjacent to Each Propeller Shaft Log
Remove all studs and grind the hull plate smooth while the vessel is drydocked and prior to cleaning and
painting. Stud size: 1/2 inch x 2 inches.
3. Bow Ramp System Repairs:
a. With the ramp lowered and properly supported, make the necessary removals and remove the starboard
side chain roller sheave.
