MISCELLANEOUS MINOR HULL REPAIRS (DEFINITE) (CONTINUED)
Clean, free-up and lubricate sheave pin, fair sheave pin side supports and reinstall sheave in good order.
Replace missing and/or defective fasteners.
Prove repairs satisfactory by operational test.
b. Remove bow ramp gasket. Replace approximately eighteen (18) linear feet of upper and lower angle
iron, gasket, retainer strips across the vessel's bottom hull section.
Sandblast, clean, prime and apply finish paint coating system prior to reinstallation of gasket.
Reinstall bow ramp gasket and leave ready for trials and tests.
4. Vent Piping Repairs:

Three (3) Each, Diesel Oil Tanks
Location:
Main Deck, Starboard Side, Frame
Nos. 32/33 Outboard of Bulwark
Replace an eighteen (18) inch section of, deteriorated, vent piping for each of the three (3) diesel oil storage
tanks.
Sections to be replaced shall commence at the 180return ell extending down toward the deck, new piping
shall be 2 inch IPS standard steel pipe.
Repairs shall be accomplished in conjunction with the tank and vent header repairs and prior to hull cleaning
and painting.
5. Ventilation System Housing:
Replace the round, horizontal flange, section of the galley exhaust ventilation housing assembly located on
the after port side of the poop deck.
Subject flange is 1/4 inch mild steel plating .approximately thirty (30) inches in diameter.
Replace approximately 28 each 3/8 inch steel studs (length to suit), gasket material, flat washers and nuts.
Sandblast, clean, prime and apply a finish paint coating system to all new materials and disturbed painted
surfaces.
