ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TEST AND REPORT (DEFINITE)
Test:
Perform a continuity test and insulation resistance test on the vessel's entire electrical wiring system.
Applicable Systems:
Lighting:
(interior, exterior and navigation)
Power Circuits:
(control, switches and receptacles)
Switchboards:
(Main and I.C.)
Distribution Panels
Engine Starting Systems
Tachometer System
Rudder Angle Indicator System
Clutch Position Indicator System
Alarm Systems
Motors and Controllers
Commissary Galley Equipment
All minor grounds, shorts, or open circuit discrepancies shall be corrected as detected
Test Report:
Submit to the Ship Surveyor, not later than seven (7) days after arrival of the vessel at the contractor's plant
a test report five (5) copies containing the following information:
a. Identification of circuit and item tested.
b. Insulation resistance test readings.
c.
Recommended repairs and/or renewals and reason(s) therefore.
d. Material, material availability and total cost of recommended repairs.
