b. Crankcases. Prior to preservation of the fuel system and combustion chambers, the engine crankcase and the crankcase of
engine accessories will be preserved as follows:
(1) Wet sump.
(a) Spark ignition engines and compression ignition engines operating at output level up to 150 psi, brake mean effective
pressure (BMEP). At the beginning of engine preservation, the engine crankcase and the crankcases of any mounted accessories
having a separate crankcase from the engine, will be filled to the operating level with P-10 preservative lubricating
