T10 Retaining ring pliers - 303859
Engine installed in engine holder 303605 and back of
T9 Piston ring compressor - 326592
engine holder clamped securely in vise.

Remove.

Cylinder head cover
Remove.

Tap out of crankcase from cylinder side of

engine towards crankcase side.

Four large capscrews

10. Two alien screws (18)
Remove.
11. Crankcase (19)
Remove from cylinder
Tap on top of crankcase with rawhide mallet
block (8).
until it comes free.
CAUTION
Be careful not to scratch or
mar any machined surfaces.
12. Lower main bearing seal
Remove from crankshaft.
See para. 5-10.

Remove from crankshaft.
