OIL/WATER SEPARATION SYSTEM PIPING.
The Oil/Water Separation System Piping (Figure 1-67) is designed to separate and remove non-soluble oil, solids,
and air from an oily water solution. Oily water is directed through filters. The filters provide a surface where very small
droplets of non-soluble oil in the water attach and combine with other oil droplets. When the droplets grow large enough,
they are forced off the outside of the filter and are separated from the water. Refer to Oil/Water Separator TM 55-2090-
