MALFUNCTION

CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. High pressure in system - 3500 psi (24133 kPa) or above.
Step 1.
Check for defective gage.
Refer to Direct Support Maintenance.
Step 2.
Check for engine driven pump unloading valve not
operating properly.
Refer to Direct Support Maintenance.

Cap When Starter is Used - Troubleshooting.
MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. Fluid emerges from the reservoir filler cap when starter is used.
Step 1.
Check for filter element in filler cap loaded with
dirt.
Rinse the filter cap thoroughly in
fuel oil and dry with compressed air.
Step 2.
Check for nitrogen in fluid returned to reservoir.
Overhaul the accumulator. See table 3-37.
Step 3.
Check for excess fluid in reservoir.
Check fluid level after the accumulator
is charged and the engine-driven pump is
by-passing a full stream of oil to the
reservoir. The fluid level must be suf-
ficient to completely cover the screen in
the bottom of the tank.
