h. In addition to its function of holding the engine speed constant under varying load conditions, the hydraulic governor acts as
an automatic shut-down device in the event of lubricating oil .pressure failure. Should the engine fail to supply oil to the governor, the
power piston will drop, thus allowing the fuel rod to return to the no-fuel position.
