High crankcase temperature (exceeds 1050-180 at seal housing).

Step 1.
Clogged liquid line strainer.
Pump down. Remove and clean strainer.
Step 2.
Excessive superheat.
Reset thermal expansion valve(s) to 8-10F superheat.
Step 3.
Leaking compressor suction or discharge valves.
Pump down, remove cylinder heads and examine suction and discharge valves.
Replace if necessary.
Step 4.
Discharge temperature exceeds 240F.
By-pass heat interchanger.
