Alternator
a.
Position alternator (6) in
place and secure with mount-
ing bolts (5).
b.
Install adjustment strap
Do not tighten.
bolt (3).
c.
Install belt (4).
d.
Install adjusting screw (7).
Do not tighten.
e.
Adjust belt until there is
a deflection of approximately
1/2 inch at a point midway
between alternator drive
pulley and crankshaft pulley.
f.
Tighten adjustment strap bolt
(3), and adjusting screw (7).
