1.
Starting
a.
Close both accumulator valves.
Motor
The fluid pressure in the hydraulic starting system must be released prior
to servicing the engine-driven pump or other parts to prevent possible
injury to personnel or damage to equipment.
b.
Clean all exterior dirt from
starter and hydraulic lines.
c.
Release pressure in hydraulic
system lines.
2.
Hydraulic
Disconnect the hydraulic lines
Lines
(1 and 2) from the starting
motor. Cover the open ends
of the lines with masking
tape to prevent entry of dirt.
3.
Starting
a.
Remove elbows (3 and 4) from
Motor
port plate (5).
b.
Remove three retaining bolts
(6), and lockwashers (7), and
lift starting motor (8) away
from the flywheel housing.
