o. Support the splined end of the
shaft on the bed of an arbor
press. Start the shaft end
bearing (69) in the housing
and over the end of the shaft
with the numbered side of the
bearing facing away from the
shaft. Press bearing in place
with a sleeve that bears
against inner race.
p. Place key washer (66) over
shaft (67).
q. Thread bearing retainer bolt
(65) into tapped end of shaft
and tighten.
r.
Bend tang on the key washer
(66) against head of bolt (65).
s. Place flatwasher (64) in
housing (25) against ball
bearing (69).
t.
Coat threads of weight cap
Torque cap to
(63) with Loctite sealant,
30-60 lb. ft.
grade HV or equivalent, and
(40 - 81 Nm).
install in housing.
