Operating
a.
If removed, apply a thin coat

Place the plug in the opening
and Covers
in the end of the housing with
the convex side of the plug
facing out. Place a 1/2 inch
(12.7mm) diameter drift
against the center of plug;
then, tap the drift with a
hammer securing the plug in
the housing.

Lubricate plunger (15) with
clean engine oil.
c.
Place pointed end of plunger

(15) in housing.
bottom side of

d.
Insert spring (14) inside
Torque pipe plug
plunger and secure with pipe
to 107-117 lb.

Align oil passages in each
