(3) Start the bushing (5)
with the installer
straight into the bushing
bore in the pump body.
(4) Bring the ram of the
press down on the end of
the installer, as shown
below, and press the
bushing straight into the
pump body until the
shoulder of the installer
contacts the pump body.
(5) Place the oil pump cover
(19) on the bed of an
arbor press with the
rotor end of the cover
facing up. Then,
install the bushing (6)
in the pump cover in the
same manner as described
in steps (2), (3), and
(4) above.
