Fuel Strainer
Ensure that the fuel suction valve in lazarette
113JJ18-3
is closed before replacing the strainers. Failure
to comply may result in flooding the engine
room with fuel oil and damage to equipment.
REMOVAL
1.
REMOVE HOSE AND PIPING CONNECTION.
a.
With engine shut down, close fuel suction valve in
lazarette.
b.
Remove hose connections (1 and 2).
c.
Remove locknut (3) from the union elbow.
2.
REMOVE
STRAINER
FROM
BULKHEAD
MOUNTING PLATE.
Remove two capscrews (4) and self-locking hex nuts
(5) from strainer bracket (6) and bulkhead mounting
plate (7).
