Assemble metallic bent tube (7), two preformed hoses (5, 9) and four hose clamps (4, 6, 8, 10).
Attach to crankcase breather (1) and handhole cover (18). Tighten hose clamps to 50 in-lb (6 N ).

Install lube oil filter assembly (paragraph 2-24) if removed.
b. Install handhole cover with liquid level gage rod and oil filter tube (15).

Position handhole gasket (22) and handhole cove (15) on engine.

Install twelve lockwashers (17) and hexagon head capscrews (16). Tighten to 30 ft-lb (40 N ).

Install preformed packing (13) and retaining clip (12) on dipstick (11).
(4)
Install liquid level gage rod (11) and filler opening cap (14).
(5)
Install lube oil filter assembly (paragraph 2-24).
c. Install blank handhole covers (20).

Position handhole gasket (22) and handhole cover (20) on engine.
(2)
Install one lockwasher (21) and twelve-point capscrew (19) intop right corner. Install eleven
lockwashers (24) and hexagon head capscrews (23). Tighten to 30 ft-lb (40 N ).

Install water pump group (paragraph 2-23) and fuel pump group (paragraph 2-29) if removed.
