DISASSEMBLY

Remove cotter pins (15, FIGURE 2-173) and cylindrical pins (11) from dog arms

(2).

Loosen setscrews (14) and remove dog arms (2) with guides (21) and bushings

(4).

Remove helical compression springs (6) from door (1).

Remove hex nuts (9) and handwheel (7).

Remove handwheel and shaft (17) from door.

Remove shim (18), brass bushings (10), and preformed packing (8) from

handwheel shaft (17).
