DISASSEMBLY

NOTE

Disassembly in this procedure consists of removing the fluid pressure dampener, gear

pump assembly, shutoff valve assembly, electric governor actuator, and fluid filter

element from the fuel pump body.

Remove the fuel shutoff valve (2, Figure 3-16).

Remove the two hexagon capscrews lockwashers and flat washers (2, Figure 3-17), securing the

shutoff valve to the fuel pump (6).

(2)

Remove the shutoff valve body and preformed packing (5) from the fuel pump. Discard preformed

packing.
