1. The graph shows the effects of carbon monoxide
on man as functions of concentration and exposure
time. Milder effects are shown as a lightly shaded
band of exposure times and concentrations while
dangerous or lethal times and concentrations are
grouped in the heavily shaded band.
2. The effects on personnel may be greatly
increased by requirements for physical exertion.
3. Recovery from high concentrations of carbon
monoxide may not be free from residual damage to
nerve centers and other tissues.
