3-152. BUOYANCY MATERIAL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

TOOLS: None Required

REPLACEMENT CRlTERIA: Blocks will be replaced if oil or fuel soaked (not stained), if cracked through, or if large

chunks broken out. Missing buoyancy material must not exceed 5% of total volume of

REMOVE: (ENGINE COMPARTMENT (Block No. 29 thru 36)

NOTE

Buoyancy blocks are numbered on the back or side and must be removed before number

is visible.

REMOVE:

Open and secure engine hatches (refer to paragraph 3-154).

Unbuckle four nylon straps (1) securing holding plate (2).

Remove holding plate (2) and store out of work area.
