SPECIFIC LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS - Continued
After operation in mud or in sandy or dusty conditions, clean and inspect all points of lubrication for fouled
lubricants. Change lubricants as required.
Clean all areas around lubrication points in accordance with General Cleaning Instructions (WP 0017)
before lubricating equipment. After lubrication, wipe off excess oil to prevent an accumulation of foreign
matter.
LUBRICATION CHART
Lubrication Chart (Figures 1, 2, and 3) cover IBC lubrication points.
Lubrication Requirements (Table 2) lists lubricants to be used in all temperature ranges and shows intervals.
Lubrication Chart (Figures 1, 2, and 3) show lubrication points, items to be lubricated, required lubricants,
and recommended intervals for lubrication. Any special lubricating instructions for specific components are
contained in NOTES. Reference to appropriate localized view is given after each lubrication entry.
Recommended intervals are based on normal conditions of operation; intervals given represent allocated
hours of operation between each scheduled lubrication. Under extreme conditions, lubricants should always
be changed more frequently. When in doubt, notify your supervisor.
Lowest level of maintenance authorized to lubricate a point is indicated in parentheses by use of the
following: (C) for Operator/Crew or (F) for Field maintenance.
