WARNINGS

A waiting period of at least 30 minutes is required to ensure that the area has cooled

and that the fire will not reignite upon entry of personnel. When hatch or door is

opened, or the ventilation system is started, oxygen enters the area and dilutes the

HALON.

Do not reenter the space where HALON has been used to extinguish a fire unless

you are wearing an oxygen breathing apparatus (OBA). Wear the OBA until the

atmosphere is certified safe. Anyone suffering from the toxic effect of HALON

1301 vapor should immediately move, or be moved, to fresh air.
