NOTE

To assist removal of centrifugal pump impeller retaining hex nut,

the pump shaft is held stationary by placing-either a screwdriver

or nail of suitable size through hole provided on the close

coupled pump shaft (Figure 3-93).

h. Install screwdriver or nail through hole in pump shaft (11, Figure 3-92).

i. Remove hex plain nut (9).

j. Remove impeller (10) by pulling straight off shaft.
