Test the valve seats.

NOTE

Apply clean lubricating oil to the valve stems.

b. Install the valves in their original positions in the cylinder head and the valve springs in the cylinder

head as follows (refer to Figure 4-19):

CAUTION

Put the cylinder head on a wood surface to prevent damage to the surface of the cylinder head

Compress the valve springs and install new valve spring retainer lock (collets).
