CURVE OF RIGHTING LEVERS
5-37.  INTRODUCTION.  FIGURE 5-5 shows the variation of righting arms (GZ), with an angle of heel, for
an assumed height of center of gravity (KG) of 11.7 feet above bottom of keel amidships. For any condition of
loading in which displacement and KG are known, a curve of intact statical stability can be developed. This
curve is for the beaching condition. FIGURES 5-6, 5-7, and 5-8 are for the full-load departure, full-load arrival,
and light ship condition respectively.
As an example, the curve of intact statical stability for the beaching condition was developed.
