CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
Section I. INTRODUCTION
7-1. PURPOSE. The purpose of corrective maintenance is to return the craft to operable condition
after failure of one or more components and to correct conditions resulting from normal wear.
7-2. SCOPE. This chapter provides instructions for removing, repairing, and replacing components of
the F530 IAB fabric are contained in Appendix F and are not repeated in this chapter. Repair personnel,
particularly those performing intermediate level corrective maintenance, should be thoroughly familiar with
the ship practices in Appendix F before attempting to perform fabric repairs.
7-3. ARRANGMENT. The individual corrective maintenance procedures in this chapter are organized

7-4. INTRODUCTION. There are no scheduled adjustments and alignments are normally not required;
however, a craft that has been in service for an extended period, a new craft, or a craft that had the
transom or thrust board replaced may require adjustment of the rigid flooring grip. Certified repair
technicians at depot level must accomplish this procedure.
7-5. ADJUST RIGID FLOORING GRIP (CRAFT TIGHTNESS). This adjust must be accomplished by
depot level.
