TEST
1. Throttle down prior to cranking.
2. Crank and run engine at cranking speed (about 1000 rpm) until oil pressure is observed.
3. Operate engine for ten minutes at low idle (about 1300 rpm).
4. Observe oil pressure and water temperature gauges for normal operating ranges.
5. Operate engine at 3/4 rated speed (about 1800 rpm) for 15 minutes monitoring the appropriate engine gauges.
6. Throttle to 2400 rpm and observe all gauges. If there are any indications of operating above gauge limits (or other
signs of trouble) shut-down immediately and refer to the "Troubleshooting" Section in this manual.
ADJUST  (Figure 5-3) Adjustment of the engine is done by performing maintenance procedures on the individual
component subassemblies. Refer to the appropriate chapter and section for maintenance procedures.
REPAIR
Repair is limited to replacement of defective parts.
