Pull out PARKING BRAKE control (Figure 7, Item 3) and set transmission range selector (Figure 7, Item 4) to
N (neutral).
CAUTION
Engine speed must be at idle prior to using LHS MODE SELECT switch. Failure to comply
may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Hook arm does not need to be fully stowed if more transfer operations are going to be made.

Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (Figure 7, Item 9) to AUTO.
WARNING
CBT Operation
When the NO TRANSIT WHEN LIT indicator is illuminated, the CBT is unsafe for road
travel or open road driving. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to
personnel.
Never drive with NO TRANSIT light illuminated. An illuminated light means LHS is not
fully stowed. The load could break loose. Failure to comply may result in serious injury
or death to personnel.

Move joystick (Figure 7, Item 11) to LOAD and retract LHS until LHS NO TRANSIT light (Figure 7, Item 24)
goes out.
CAUTION
LHS MODE SELECT switch must be in OFF position before driving or hydraulic system can
overheat. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.

Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (Figure 7, Item 9) to OFF.
30.
Set PTO ENGAGE switch (Figure 7, Item 7) to OFF position. Indicator light (Figure 7, Item 8) will go out.
