IBC without boat unloaded to ground. (WP 0005)
GENERAL INFORMATION
When a new, used, or reconditioned IBC is received, determine whether it has been properly prepared for service
and is capable of performing its mission. Follow the inspection and servicing instructions in this work package.
SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIAL
UNPACKING
NOTE
Refer to DD Form 1397 for procedures on unpacking the IBC.
Unpacking will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
Remove all straps, plywood, tape, seals, and wrappings.
END OF TASK
CHECKING UNPACKED EQUIPMENT
Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If the equipment has been damaged, report the damage
on SF 361, Transportation Discrepancy Report.
Check the equipment against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in
accordance with applicable service instructions found in DA PAM 750-8.
Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.
