CAUTION
When selecting any LHS operating mode with the LHS MODE SELECT switch, the engine
must be at low idle speed. Selection of any LHS operating mode with HIGH IDLE switch ON
may result in the sudden application of hydraulic pressure to the LHS. Failure to comply may
result in damage to equipment.
8.
Set PTO ENGAGE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to ON position. Indicator light (Figure 3, Item 11) will illuminate.

Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (Figure 3, Item 12) to AUTO position.

Turn HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 13) to ON position

While using the assistant as a ground guide, hold the joystick (Figure 3, Item 14) in UNLOAD position to unload
the IBC.
12.
Boat crew will maneuver the boat (Figure 3, Item 15) onto the IBC (Figure 3, Item 16) from the UPSTREAM
SIDE of the IBC (Figure 3, Item 16).
13.
Boat crew will secure the boat (Figure 3, Item 15) to the IBC (Figure 3, Item 16) by attaching load binder cables
(Figure 3, Item 17) (WP 0019) to the stern of the boat (Figure 3, Item 15).
CAUTION
Prior to loading boat and IBC in fast water, ensure that the IBC is in line with vehicle. The
vehicle driver may need to pull forward to align the IBC. Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.

Once the boat (Figure 3, Item 15) is secured, move joystick (Figure 3, Item 14) to LOAD position and hold until
the IBC (Figure 3, Item 16) is fully loaded onto the vehicle (Figure 3, Item 7) and the NO TRANSIT LIGHT
(Figure 3, Item 17) is OFF.

Turn the HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 13) to OFF.
16.
Set PTO ENGAGE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to OFF position. Indicator light (Figure 3, Item 11) will go out.
NOTE
Dashboard parking brake indicator will go out when PARKING BRAKE control is released.
17.
Place transmission (Figure 3, Item 9) in the D (drive) position, push in PARKING BRAKE control (Figure 3,
Item 8) and pull forward from water's edge. Refer to TM 9-2320-435-10 or TM 9-2320-425-10.
18.
Allow the boat crew to dismount from boat via the vehicle operator platform.
19.
Inspect the IBC frame (Figure 3, Item 16) to ensure two transport locking tabs (Figure 3, Item 18) are engaged
in transport frame (Figure 3, Item 19) and the bail bar (Figure 3, Item 20) is secured in the hook arm (Figure
3, Item 21).
20.
Attach both front and rear tie-down cables (WP 0020) or both front and rear tie-down straps (WP 0029) to
the boat.
